
Al-Taj News – Arsenal won the London derby by defeating visitors Chelsea 2-1 in the match between the two sides at the Emirates Stadium in the third round of the English Premier League.
Chelsea took the lead in the second minute through Morgan Rogers, setting the derby alight early, particularly after Rogers celebrated in front of the Gunners’ fans in a provocative manner.
Arsenal managed to equalize in the 25th minute through Kai Havertz, with the first half ending 1-1.
In the second half, Arsenal continued their efforts until they scored the second goal in the 50th minute through Martin Odegaard.
Arsenal then dominated possession and launched numerous dangerous attacks, but the brilliance of Argentine goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez prevented them from adding to their tally.
Arsenal moved to 9 points, joining Manchester City at the top of the table, while Chelsea remained on 6 points in fourth place.
